Armin van Buuren Unveils Phase One Lineup For A State Of Trance Festival 2025

The first batch of artists set to play Armin van Buuren’s famous A State of Trance (ASOT) festival in 2025 has been unveiled.

The genre icon and label co-founder broke the news on the brand’s famous A State of Trance radio show yesterday, hosting a special edition of the program from Amsterdam Dance Event alongside Insomniac founder and CEO Pasquale Rotella, who announced that the powerhouse events company’s new independent European division, Insomniac Europe, will help produce ASOT Festival 2025.

Today’s official wave one announcement includes headline performances from next-gen trance torchbearer Ben Hemsley, trance-techno hybrid heavyweight Maddix, and Ukrainian melodic duo ARTBAT, each performing B2B with van Buuren in a unique five-hour set on day one.

Other highlights include performances from genre favorites like Aly & Fila, Andrew Rayel, Factor B, Ferry Corsten, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Laura van Dam, XiJaro & Pitch, and ASOT co-founder Ruben de Ronde, in addition to a unique B2B from Cubicore and UUFO, and a set from melodic duo Agents Of Time, among others. After last year’s edition saw A State Of Trance expand to two days and find a new home in Rotterdam after being held in Utrecht for over a decade, the festival will return to Ahoy Rotterdam as a weekend event on February 21-22, 2025.

Founded by van Buuren and de Ronde in 2001, A State Of Trance began as a weekly radio show spotlighting the best of the genre. The namesake festival soon followed and remains a cherished annual pilgrimage for trance fans around the world.
