Jim Legxacy has shared a new track and video for ‘father’.

The buoyant fuses pitched-up vocal samples into its bright beat, with intimate bars from Jim Legxacy exploring his teenage years in South-East London.

It’s taken from a forthcoming project due on XL later this year, titled ‘black british music (2025)’.

Rrose announces new EP on T4T LUV NRG

Rrose will release ‘2 or 3 Drops of Height Have Nothing to do With Savagery’ on March 28.

The three-track EP is coming via Eris Drew & Octo Octa’s T4T LUV NRG label.

It was first conceptualised when Rrose and Octo Octa shared the bill at a gig in a former mortuary in Bristol, at a night filled with “nudity and mud, gongs and piercing needles.”

Josi Devil drops a UKG 12” on Hessle Audio

Josi Devil has dropped his debut release on Hessle Audio, marking the label’s first outing of 2025.

It’s been described as “the closest Hessle Audio has come to releasing a double-sided UKG single since HES001 by TRG”, with the Bristol producer submerging hallmarks of the sound within distorted textures.

The two-tracker has received plenty of club play from the likes of Four Tet, Joy Orbison and Interplanetary.

Eddie Fowlkes to drop new track every month of 2025

Eddie Fowlkes has released a new single titled ‘All Day Vibes’ via Detroit Wax Digital, serving up raw techno in the Detroit mould.

It marks the first of a series of monthly track releases he has planned for the rest of 2025.

Tippa & DJ IC collab on house anthem ‘Where Was You’

Tippa and DJ IC have joined forced on a new single ‘Where Was You’, out now via All Shades of The Drum Recordings.

It features a deep house ‘Original Mix’, with a grooving foundation below Tippa’s stirring bars, as well as a more atmospheric ‘Afro remix’.

Ploy announces Dekmantel debut with double-pack ‘It’s later than you think’

Ploy will make his debut on Dekmantel’s in-house imprint with new eight-track, double-pack ‘It’s Later Than You Think’.

Set for release on March 14, the record is expected to see Ploy return to house-inclined sonics — with lead single ‘When In Room’, which is out now, teasing a kaeledoscopic mixture of peak time rhythm and fizzling breakdowns.

Confidence Man team up with Eliza Rose on new single ‘I HEART YOU’

In a meeting of dancefloor banger royalty, Confidence Man and Eliza Rose’s new link up ‘I HEART YOU’ is an expectedly catchy dance-pop treasure.

Released as part of ‘4AM (LALALA), the deluxe version of the Australian duo’s ‘3AM (LALALA)’, ‘I HEART YOU’ is brimming with commanding vocals and addictive melody.

Two Shell issue battle cry for the club on new single ‘Oops…

Elusive duo Two Shell have shared a new club-angled single ‘Oops…’ via Young.

Released on Friday (February 28), ‘Oops’ combines Two Shell’s signature sugary-sweet vocal samples with bouyant, wobbling bass and a 00s-esque breakdown.

Oppidan returns with first single of 2025, ‘lose my head’

UKG newcomer Oppidan has returned with her first single of the year following a momentous 2024, ‘lose my head’.

Released today, February 29, via Promised Land Recordings, ‘lose my head’ turns Oppidan’s signature garage sound into a melodic, textured affair.

The single follows 2024’s enormous ‘Mr. Sandman’, which shot Oppidan into global acclaim and pinned her as one of Radio1 Dance’s Future Stars of 2025.

Chaos In The CBD share new single, ‘I Wanna Tell Somebody’, from forthcoming album

Chaos In The CBD have unveiled a brand new single, ‘I Wanna Tell Somebody’, from their forthcoming album landing this May via the duo’s label, In Dust We Trust.

The track takes influence from bossa nova and soulful house, featuring vocals from Josh Milan of legendary New Jersey house group Blaze.

“’I Wanna Tell Somebody’ has quickly become one of our personal favourites from the album,” the duo say. “[It’s] a song that radiates joy and carries lightness, thanks to Josh’s silky-smooth vocals.”

Photay announces expanded edition of 2024 album ‘Windswept’

Photay has announced the release of an expanded version of his 2024 album ‘Windswept’, featuring two brand new tracks. ‘Windswept: Expansions’ lands on March 28 via Mexican Summer.

The first of the two tracks, ‘Jet Stream’, arrived on Friday – an ode to his home and studio that he lost to the devastating Los Angeles fires.

“Although this piece (and Windswept) were made well before this disaster, for me they grow in relevance,” he explains. “I use sound to understand the greater elemental forces and our vulnerability to them.”

Machinedrum shares remix pack from last year’s ‘3FOR82’ on Ninja Tune

Machinedrum has announced the release of a remix pack from his 2024-released album ‘3FOR82’ on Ninja Tune, ‘3RMX82’, due to land on March 4.

The album features 12 producers including Anna Morgan, Coki, Skeptical, Thys, Camoufly, and many more, spanning jungle to tech house.

“My intention was to have versions of the songs from my latest album that are more club-friendly and would easily fit into my own DJ sets,” he says. “Most of the remixers on ‘3RMX82’ have been making tunes that I play in my sets already, so I’m grateful to have their takes on my own work.”
