Rebūke, Au/Ra – Ignite [ERA Music Limited]
There is a cinematic heaviness baked into the bones of “Ignite.” Rebūke’s collaboration with Au/Ra acts as the emotional centerpiece of his new World Of Era album, pulling from themes of love emerging in apocalyptic chaos. Au/Ra’s vocals drift like smoke over the bassline, while effects radiate a blend of both melancholy and urgency. The artwork, a couple facing the end of the world, mirrors the song’s core feeling: choosing connection even as everything burns.
Swedish House Mafia – Wait So Long (Agents Of Time Remix) [SUPERHUMAN MUSIC]
Instead of coasting on the original’s vocals, Agents Of Time carve out a full-on melodic techno reinterpretation. A rumbling bassline and metallic percussion drive it forward, but it is the careful manipulation of Swedish House Mafia’s topline that gives this remix its ghostly soul. Arpeggiated synths spiral upward while chopped vocals echo like a memory, turning “Wait So Long” into a hypnotic journey rather than a standard club rework.
REZarin – Androme [Spectrum]
Latvian producer REZarin makes his Spectrum debut with a glowing, progressive track that feels tailor-made for sunrise sets. “Androme” carries the warmth of trance’s golden era but modernizes it with a sleek, textural build. Every synth glides with intention, and Joris Voorn’s stamp of approval only reinforces the track’s emotional and atmospheric range. An excellent introduction to a rising name.
Zerb, Sofiya Nzau, Izzy Bizu – Kumbaya (Citadelle Remix) [TH3RD BRAIN]
Flipping Zerb, Sofiya Nzau and Izzy Bizu’s chart-topping anthem “Kumbaya” into a progressive and tribal-fueled banger, Citadelle adds the perfect spin to the original. The vocals mesh seamlessly with their instrumental, making a cross between mainstage dance and melodic techno-esque sound.
Rikaya, S.A.B.R.I – BEFORE MY EYES
Reinventing the popular lyrics from Goom Gum and Dancing on Lego’s “Before My Eyes”, this underground melodic techno weapon takes you on a journey. It is primed for both open-air venues and warehouse raves.
Innellea, Rafael Cerato – Unleashed [belonging]
Built on tension and emotional pull, “Unleashed” is a long-awaited link-up between Innellea and Rafael Cerato that lands as the final single before Innellea’s upcoming project Finding Home drops. The vocal pierces through the moody, cinematic buildup, and the track’s narrative arc mirrors the ethos of belonging, Innellea’s creative sanctuary label.
HUGEL, David Guetta, Kehlani, Daecolm – Think Of Me (Korolova Remix) [Virgin Records]
Korolova reshapes this radio-friendly single into something far more expansive. What starts as a pop track becomes a deep club tool with lush pads and hypnotic groove work. The emotional charge remains intact, but the remix swaps gloss for depth, making it feel designed for dancefloors instead of playlists.
Nihil Young, TYGR TYGR – Running [Zerothree Music]
A potent mix of emotion and club functionality, “Running” thrives on its lyrical hook and polished progressive energy. The breakdowns hit with intention, and the soaring drop is paced perfectly for peak-time impact. There is a reason Nihil Young remains a Zerothree staple: his collaborations always know how to pull on a feeling without sacrificing movement.
Yubik, Enai – Dragonfly [Authentica]
Woven from cinematic textures and one-of-a-kind rhythms, “Dragonfly” breathes with life from the first kick. It is clear this came from late-night studio sessions; there is a rawness under the clean mix. The structure feels like it is destined for long DJ sets, stretching out intensity and release with care.
Adam Sellouk, Paradoks – Cloud 9 [Simulate]
Pressure simmers under the surface of “Cloud 9,” a high-impact release that bridges big-room punch with melodic restraint. That main vocal line cuts through like a beacon. As a double-single release, “Make You” follows it up, darker and more driving, tossing UN:COMN and M2 into Simulate’s orbit with purpose. Two heavyweight tunes under one roof.
Estiva – No Echoes (Mees Salomé Remix) [Colorize / Enhanced Music]
This is definitely more trance and progressive-leaning, but was simply too amazing to leave out of this month’s roundup. Mees Salomé shares, “I wanted to stay true to the mysterious and haunting original, but with a twist.” It unfolds beautifully, being a track that you can self-reflect and reminisce to.
Matchy – Not Too Late [Ritter Butzke Records]
There is a melancholic elegance to “Not Too Late.” Warm pads and tightly sculpted grooves meet rising synth phrases that refuse to rush. The pacing is patient, giving every element room to breathe. “Inflections” on the B-side dials things back even more. Dusty percussion, soft melodic flickers, and a sense of space that feels meditative.
Notre Dame – Nobody Told Me [Diyamic Music]
This is another one that may fall less into melodic techno and lean more on the side of melodic house and trance. But it is far too incredible to not throw in with the other tracks. Notre Dame always seems to find the optimal balance between drawing listeners in with his unique sound and introducing new, exciting elements into every track. “Nobody Told Me” is proof of this.
Black Box, Gareden – Tulum Nights [Deeper Harmonies]
A low-slung groove, coastal ambiance, and rich melodic phrasing make “Tulum Nights” an essential add for sunset sets. It is not just light, though, there is grit under the surface. Black Box and Gareden build a soundscape that balances groove with mood, tribal percussion with emotive synths. You can feel the desert air in this one.
Miss Monique, Hrrtz, Jantine – Is Anyone There? [Siona Records]
Fresh off a huge summer with stops at Tomorrowland and her debut Ibiza residency, Miss Monique brings that momentum into this sweeping melodic cut. Co-produced with HRRTZ and powered by Jantine’s ethereal topline, “Is Anyone There?” pulls from progressive trance aesthetics and channels them into something cinematic and immediate. A defining release for Siona’s 2024 catalog.
