Wynn’s XS Nightclub in Las Vegas to Close for Extensive Renovations
Wynn Nightlife just announced that XS Nightclub at Wynn Las Vegas will undergo an extensive renovation in 2026. The renovation is to provide “significant enhancements” and keep the venue at the forefront of the Las Vegas nightlife scene. While we all know the nightlife scene in Las Vegas has seen better days, several major clubs have been closing for the same re-imagining reason. In fact, Drai’s Nightclub at The Cromwell Hotel also announced its permanent closure of its home on the rooftop. The venue is now relocating back to its basement location. Similarly, Marquee Nightclub just completed its main room renovation in October.
Specific details about the 2026 renovation are not yet public. But a previous $10 million renovation in 2015 focused on technology and production upgrades. These enhancements included a new flame and pyrotechnic system over the pool deck, LED ceiling, new DJ booth, and lasers. So, the upcoming renovation could likely include similar state-of-the-art upgrades. Those would be in regards to lighting, video, and sound systems for an even more elevated guest experience.
Over the years, XS has secured some of the biggest names in electronic dance music and beyond, hosting exclusive residencies with world-class artists. The club’s lineup is a key reason for its continued success. Previous resident DJs include The Chainsmokers, Marshmello, Diplo, Calvin Harris, Zedd, Kaskade, Alesso, Dillon Francis, and many more. What’s more, the nightclub has maintained its status at the forefront of the industry with its extravagant design, award-winning success (2010, 2011, 2013, 2014), and signature Nightswim parties at the Encore pool.
However, Las Vegas nightlife is currently facing a challenging economic climate. Decreased tourism is a significant factor in the drop in visitor volume. The nightclub scene reflects this economic reality. Nevertheless, new development is hitting the desert with LIV Nightclub (The Fountainebleau), Zouk, and AYU Dayclub (Resorts World) with full event schedules. We’ll stay tuned to who and what awaits us in Sin City!
