Sultan + Shepard Freshen Up Lane 8, Arctic Lake’s ‘Say The Word’

GRAMMY-Nominated Canadian Melodic House Duo Sultan + Shepard release one of our favorite remixes of the year. This remix was first played at their iconic b2b with This Never Happened label lead Lane 8 at Proper NYE in San Diego. ‘Say The Word’ (Sultan + Shepard Remix) is now available on THN. The remix breathes new life into the original track from Lane 8 and Arctic Lake. Furthermore, the track first appeared on Lane 8’s 2024 hit album Childish.

Lane 8, Arctic Lake – ‘Say The Word’ (Sultan + Shepard Remix)

Keeping the spirit of the original track intact, Sultan + Shepard continue the sonic experience with a new, captivating, and hypnotic groove. Compared to the original release, the duo chose a club-like atmosphere for the remix. With a stronger and more serious undertone, the track involves warmer melodies and perfectly timed stutters. These elements invoke pure euphoria on the dancefloor.

The track follows the massive collaborative history between the duo and the label boss. They have been remixing each other’s tracks with love and skill. Examples like ‘RnR’, ‘I Will Leave A Light On’, ‘Run’, and ‘Survive’. However, some of their highlights include the tracks they’ve written and produced together. These include ‘The Little Mushroom That Got Away’ and ‘Quiet Rush’. Their joint discography proves that together they’re a force to reckon with. They help to reinvent each other’s sounds through the years. Not only is this a successful business partnership, but a work of art.

Sultan + Shepard

Following the success of their Trilogy Tour in the Spring, the GRAMMY-nominated duo continued to shine their bright musical light across the world. They did this with their Communicate EP. With multiple appearances in the US, Shepard had a solo performance at the Lightning in a Bottle Music Festival. Meanwhile, Sultan welcomed baby number two with his wife. Up next, the duo will travel alongside Lane 8 for two shows in South Africa.
