Svenson & Gielen are in the studio preparing music for 2026

Two former partners and pioneers of modern trance have returned to the studio together with plans to release new music in 2025. After achieving success earlier this century, Svenson & Gielen are back to work after many years apart.

Before dance music truly hit the mainstream over a decade ago, producers such as Sven Maes and Johan Gielen were crafting trance anthems for an earlier generation. The pair began their work together in 1994 under the moniker Body Heat, then changed to Airscape in 1997, before landing on Svenson & Gielen until the pair parted ways in 2005. During their time together, they crafted iconic tracks, Twisted and The Beauty of Silence, and released remixes for Tiësto, Vengaboys, and Delirium’s Silence. After twenty years apart, the duo appear set to make their return in 2026.

Just weeks after the release of Johan Gielen’s Airscape’s new album, Etherflow, he delighted fans once again by providing an update on his recent studio work alongside Sven Maes. Shared to both artists’ individual social media pages, as well as the Svenson & Gielen profile, the two artists can be seen sitting side by side with big smiles in the studio. The post is captioned with, “Yes another great studio session today! We cant wait to share our new music in 2026 🙌🏻❤️ To be continued ……” As the iconic pair continue to prepare new tracks, fans worldwide will anxiously await new music from Svenson & Gielen.
