Armin van Buuren Releases ‘A State of Trance 2026’ Marking 25 Years

Armin van Buuren has officially released ‘A State of Trance 2026’, marking the 23rd installment of his legendary mix series. This expansive 43-track collection arrives as a triple-mix, organized into three distinct themes: Pulse, Frequency, and Energy. Most significantly, this release serves as a cornerstone celebration for the 25th anniversary of the A State of Trance brand.

In a bold move, the series has evolved its long-standing format. For the first time since 2006, the collection departs from the traditional ‘On the Beach’, ‘In the Club’, and ‘Who’s Afraid of 138?!’ structure. Instead, the new thematic approach aims to capture the evolving moods of the trance genre in 2026.

“Reaching 25 years of A State of Trance is something I could have only dreamed of when I started the show,” Armin van Buuren stated. “This album reflects where trance is today and where it’s heading. I’m proud to release another album this year whilst celebrating the brand’s 25-year anniversary and the music that makes all this possible.”

The lead-up to the album was highlighted by the single ‘Serendipity’, a collaboration with Andrew Bayer that showcases a warm, uplifting production style. The collection also features the long-awaited Rising Star Remix of ‘Sun Shines on Me’ with Glockenbach, a track that has become a staple of Armin’s live performances over the past year.

The mix breakdowns offer a deep dive into the current landscape of the genre. Mix 1 ‘Pulse’ highlights collaborations with Argy, Skytech, and Joris Voorn, alongside a fresh BLR remix of the GAIA classic ‘Tuvan’. Mix 2 ‘Frequency’ focuses on peak-time energy, while Mix 3 ‘Energy’ pushes the tempo with contributions from KI/KI and Lilly Palmer.

This 2026 edition stands as a testament to the legacy and forward momentum of one of dance music’s most influential platforms. You can stream the full album via the official channels below.
