ORIGIN Los Angeles Set to Open in the Arts District

The Los Angeles nightlife landscape is set for a significant evolution with the announcement of ORIGIN Los Angeles, a new permanent music and arts venue scheduled to open in the city’s vibrant Arts District in late summer or early autumn 2026. Located at 613 Imperial Street, the venue is being developed as a versatile indoor and outdoor space designed to accommodate everything from intimate club nights to large-scale cultural and community programming.

The Arts District has long served as a cultural hub where music, art, and community intersect, and ORIGIN aims to lean into this ethos. The venue’s design prioritizes fluid movement between spaces, moving away from a single, static environment. Its primary music room and expansive outdoor area are specifically configured to support a variety of formats, with a dedicated focus on electronic music.

The project is spearheaded by industry veterans Roni Mehrabian and Cyril Bitar. Known for their work with prominent brands such as SBCLTR and Minimal Effort, as well as events like LABRYINTO, Brunch Electronik, The Maze, FLOAT, and Resolutions, the founders bring over two decades of collective experience to this new venture. ORIGIN represents their transition into establishing a permanent, independent home for the city’s music and arts communities.

The programming strategy is designed to be dynamic, shifting between club nights, live concerts, promoter partnerships, and private events. Fridays are slated to feature electronic bookings showcasing a mix of established and independent artists, while Saturdays will alternate between daytime outdoor events and late-night house and techno sessions. The venue also plans to host quarterly Arts District parties that utilize both its indoor and outdoor facilities.

Technical precision is at the heart of the venue’s infrastructure. The design, led by Marc Dizon—whose portfolio includes renowned spaces like Brooklyn Mirage, Output in New York, and Hakkasan in Las Vegas—features a custom analogue KV2 Audio system. This setup is engineered to ensure consistent sound distribution throughout the entire venue, including the mezzanine. Additionally, a separate, specialized outdoor system has been implemented to maintain high-fidelity sound while remaining mindful of the surrounding neighbourhood.

The brand identity for the project is being developed by the Los Angeles-based agency Super Evil Genius Group, known for their work with John Summit’s Experts Only Records and Framework’s Spotlight Hollywood. With a music-first approach rooted in underground culture, ORIGIN is positioned to become a cornerstone of the Southern California music scene, offering a permanent base for artists and promoters alike.
