Primavera Sound 2027: Skrillex, Hawtin, Four Tet, and Dixon Lead Anniversary Lineup
Primavera Sound Barcelona has officially unveiled the lineup for its landmark 25th anniversary edition, and the electronic music contingent alone makes this one worth circling on the calendar. The festival returns to the iconic Parc del Fòrum with main days running June 3-5, 2027, capping a full week of programming from June 2-6.
The anniversary bill masterfully connects the festival’s storied history to the future of music, with the dance music card reflecting that evolution. Skrillex b2b Ninajirachi will close out the main festival, while Sunday is being carved out entirely for electronic music. This day is highlighted by a joint takeover from Richie Hawtin, Four Tet, and Dixon—three titans of the industry who rarely share a bill together, let alone a b2b2b slot. With additional appearances from Underworld and BICEP, the electronic programming spans everything from techno veterans to the current wave of hyperpop-adjacent bass producers.
A Diverse Musical Landscape
Across the full 151-artist bill, Primavera is mixing genres as broadly as any festival on the circuit. Rock, pop, punk, singer-songwriter fare, flamenco, K-pop, and metal share real estate with electronic music. Notably, women make up nine of the fourteen most prominent names on the poster, a point the festival is leaning into after more than two decades of lineups that historically skewed male.
Outside the dance music world, headliners include Doechii, Phoebe Bridgers, Fontaines D.C., Massive Attack, Turnstile, FKA twigs, The Chemical Brothers, and Robyn. The bill also leans into the kind of left-field bookings that have become a Primavera signature, with rare appearances from Vashti Bunyan and Bonnie “Prince” Billy.
How the Festival Got Here
Primavera Sound launched in Barcelona back in 2001 as a one-day event with roughly a dozen acts. Twenty-five editions later, it has grown into one of the most credibly eclectic festivals in Europe. The 2027 lineup leans directly into that history, with the festival’s original 2001 logo appearing on this year’s poster as a nod to its humble beginnings.
For the electronic contingent specifically, the booking of Hawtin, Four Tet, and Dixon together is the standout. All three have spent decades shaping different corners of house and techno—Hawtin through his minimal output and ENTER. imprint, Four Tet through genre-blurring productions, and Dixon through his work with Innervisions. Seeing them share a set is a rare occurrence outside of one-off festival moments like this.
Registration for the Fan Sale opened October 8 at 11:00 CEST, with general sale following October 9. Residents of the Barcelona metropolitan area can also access a 10% discount on general full-festival tickets by filling out a form on the festival’s website.
