Armin van Buuren Announces ASOT Festival Coming to LA in 2027
Trance fans in Los Angeles have plenty to look forward to, as Armin van Buuren has announced a two-day A State of Trance festival coming to the city in 2027. He revealed the news in style during a surprise pop-up event in Downtown LA. Taking place on June 11th and 12th, the Los Angeles weekender marks a significant milestone as the brand’s first full-scale, multi-stage, multi-day standalone festival in the U.S., complete with the immersive ASOT Hotel experience.

Events of this magnitude are rare, and the expansion to the United States marks a huge milestone for the global trance community. While this is not the brand’s first appearance in America—having previously held major one-night shows at venues like the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles (2022), Madison Square Garden in New York (2013), and Oakland (2019), alongside dedicated stages at festivals like Ultra Music Festival—this standalone event represents a new chapter.
A Global Institution Comes to the West Coast
In Europe, A State of Trance is more than just a brand; it is a cultural and almost religious institution for electronic dance music. The Netherlands and Central/Eastern Europe have cultivated a massive, loyal, and rapidly growing fan base. The annual flagship European festivals, traditionally held in Utrecht and more recently in Rotterdam, consistently attract 35,000 to 40,000 fans from nearly 100 countries.
Though the exact location for the Los Angeles event has not yet been announced, fans can look forward to an electrifying weekend featuring a variety of genre-spanning sets that reflect the evolution of the trance sound. Pre-registration for the event is currently open for those looking to secure their spot at this historic gathering.
