Armin van Buuren unveils a remix EP for his 2024 ASOT anthem ‘Destination’: Listen
As we edge closer to the 2025 edition of A State Of Trance festival and the release of the brand new anthem, Armin van Buuren gave Ben Nicky and Cubicore a chance to rehash the wonderful original.
When it comes to the A State Of Trance brand as a whole, there is so much to love about it. The festival, the radio show, the countless anthems, and above all, trance as a body of music. When it comes to anthems, the head honcho Armin van Buuren always made sure to deliver only the best of his unrivaled craft in his yearly soundtracks of ASOT. That was the case this year as well. Destination, an anthem made together with Ferry Corsten and Ruben de Ronde has easily found its way into the hearts of trance fans. This anthem is also revolutionary because the production process was live-streamed throughout.
A State Of Trance anthem has never received a remix EP until now. Armin van Buuren has called upon industry friends Ben Nicky and Cubicore to present their own take on Destination and the result is more than satisfying. Ben Nicky made sure to elevate the uplifting energy of the original even higher, and although the remix isn’t anything groundbreaking it still does its job well. It is also another great addition to his Emotional Havoc sets. On the other hand, Cubicore added his signature progressive trance sound, slowing down the track a bit but maintaining the emotion and theatricality. His remix marks a major milestone in his promising career.
As mentioned earlier, Armin van Buuren will bring A State Of Trance to Ahoy, Rotterdam for the second year in a row. The first phase of the lineup has been out for a while and it includes Armin van Buuren’s back-2-backs with Maddix, Ben Hemsley, and ARTBAT. Alongside these acts, artists such as Ben Gold, Aly & Fila, Nifra, and so much more. More DJs are set to be announced really soon.
