Blankson releases new EP, ‘Wraith’, on HE.SHE.THEY.: Listen

LGBTQIA+ collective HE.SHE.THEY. has today (June 4th) released a new EP from rising London DJ and producer Blankson.

‘Wraith’ is the producer’s second EP, following on from the two-track ‘Fela’s Groove’, which came out on Blankson’s own 51-53 label at the end of last year. The new EP contains two of his earliest productions, which he spent 2020’s COVID-19 lockdowns revisiting and reworking. 

The EP’s title track is said to be inspired by the time Blankson spent living in Berlin in 2014. “I’m really stoked to get this EP out, and all the happier for it to be coming out on HE.SHE.THEY. who I’ve been a fan of since the start,” he said. I’ve been sat on these tracks for a while so it feels good to get them out in the open.”

‘Wraith’ is HE.SHE.THEY.’s 14th release to date. “To say we’re obsessed with Wraith is an understatement,” the collective’s Sophia and Braines said of the new EP, adding that their “biggest reason for lockdown to end is to hear it played in a club!”
