Dean Robert Releases "Morning" out now via Tipsy Records
Dublin, Ireland’s Dean Robert is great at making fun-sounding, danceable pop songs, though the music sometimes belies the stories behind them. Dean follows up his well- received, playful Tipsy Records release “Get Up” with “Morning”. This song documents a tale of too many one-night stands, with deep down desires underneath that long to wake up with a special someone instead of missing them one more time. Dean’s inspiring vocal runs the gamut from impressive staccato phrasing through to sincere and forgiving. Fans of Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes and James Bay will flock to “Morning”, which draws a lot of its energy and effervescence from pop of the 80’s.
About the song, Dean explains:
“This song brings back such amazing memories of my bond with songwriter Pierre Leck. He wrote this great melody and instrumental and I jumped on and tailored it to my life at the time.”
About Dean Robert:
Dean Robert moved to Berlin over a year ago to start his solo pop career. He was previously the lead singer for the Irish rock soul group IKONICS, whose debut EP was produced by Phil McGee (Kodaline, The Script – both bands of which IKONICS supported on tour). He’s formally trained in music performance at the B.C.F.E. in Dublin, which explains much of the clarity and precision in his vocal for “Morning”.
With over 3 million streams to date on his solo releases, the music of Dean Robert keenly taps into today’s oversaturated pop dance market with unique slice-of-life stories and familiar retro inspiration. He’s in demand as both a featured singer and songwriter and “Morning” is guaranteed to make you an early believer.
