Dekmantel Heads to Bali for First Southeast Asia Takeover

On 26 September 2026, Amsterdam’s Dekmantel arrives in Southeast Asia for the first time for a one-day collaboration with Desa Potato Head Bali. Born from years of visits, shared lineups, and a genuine relationship between both teams, the collaboration brings Dekmantel’s curatorial approach to Seminyak. The event will feature daytime listening sessions and conversations, followed by a night party across Potato Head Beach Club and Klymax, closing with Avalon Emerson in her Southeast Asian debut.

Founded in Amsterdam in 2012, Dekmantel has built one of the most distinct cultures in electronic music, known for its curatorial rigour, its record label, and a festival that people plan their summers around. This collaboration is the result of a friendship that developed organically over time: members of the Dekmantel crew, including founder Casper Tielrooij and Interstellar Funk (Olf Van Elden), have spent time in Bali, and the Potato Head team made the trip to Amsterdam for the festival.

The full line-up brings together artists from across Europe, the US, Japan, and Indonesia, spanning house, techno, electronica, and beyond. Avalon Emerson, Dekmantel Soundsystem, Fafi Abdel Nour, Ogazón, Soichi Terada (Live), Danny Satria (Live), Archie, Bagvs, Dita, Kaazi, Kiwed, and Sattle will soundtrack the day and night, bringing together established international names with some of Bali and Indonesia’s most exciting electronic talent.

Avalon Emerson closes the night with her first-ever show in Southeast Asia. One of dance music’s most respected figures, her expansive DJ sets and productions move fluidly between house, techno, new wave, disco, and deep rave. Japan’s Soichi Terada will bring his distinctive live show, while Dekmantel Soundsystem sees co-founder Casper van Tielrooij and Olf van Elden (Interstellar Funk) return to the booth together.

Representing the region are Bali-based artists including Danny Satria, Dita, Kiwed, and Sattle, alongside Amsterdam-based Fafi Abdel Nour, Berlin-based Ogazón, and Kaazi, whose work spans ambient, club, and experimental music. Archie and Bagvs will join forces for a B2B set moving through deep house, minimal techno, and spaced-out disco.

Beyond the dancefloor, the programme extends into the daytime, with listening sessions, live Q&As, and a Desa Dialogue offering a free-flowing exchange of ideas, culture, and creativity. As the sun sets over the Indian Ocean, the collaboration moves fully into the night, bringing together Dekmantel and Potato Head’s shared approach to music, community, and culture.
