Eartheater and L’Rain to play Luminate event series
The experimental music series has unveiled the next wave of artists set to perform at King’s Palace, London over the coming months.
Artists announced to play Luminate’s upcoming events include Eartheater, L’Rain, Bendike Giske, Xenia Rubinos and Tony Njoku. Kicking of the programme, Eartheater will perform a matinee and an evening show on 29 May. Playing songs from her 2020 release Phoenix: Flames Are Dew Upon My Skin she’ll be joined by an ensemble of classical musicians led by Rakhi Singh and featuring Vessel – who scored Robbert Eggers’ latest film The Northman.
Elsewhere, June features shows from contemporary musique concreté duo Matmos and Brooklyn-based experimental artist L’Rain, whilst audio-visual project Jerusalem in my Heart are set to perform alongside Farida Amadou on 8 July.
There’s also performances from Xenia Rubinos, Tony Njoku, DM Stith and experimental saxophonist Bendike Giske – the latter of whom presents an audio-visual set as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival on 19 November.
