Elijah Wood Set To DJ A ‘Lord of the Rings’ Rave In Denver This May

Fans of both fantasy and underground dance music are in for something truly unique this spring, as the news just broke of a Lord of the Rings-themed rave, featuring none other than Elijah Wood (who you may know as Frodo Baggins) on the decks.

Celebrating 25 years since the first LOTR movie, Elijah Wood will perform a DJ set alongside Zach Cowie, as part of their long-running DJ project, Wooden Wisdom. Set to take place May 31st at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver, Colorado, this event is about to be the biggest thing to happen for LOTR fans since the fall of the One Ring at Mount Doom. Costumes are encouraged.

Wood’s 10+ year project with Cowie, Wooden Wisdom, typically centers around rare vinyl selections from the ’70s and 80s, covering everything from disco to funk to soul. The LOTR-themed night will follow that same crate-digging spirit, so fans should expect groove-driven selections rather than a fantasy-style soundtrack.

Beyond the LOTR-themed stop in Denver, Wooden Wisdom will take their vinyl-driven sets across the U.S., with additional dates in Orlando, Kansas City, Dallas, and Los Angeles. While the Denver show is already sold out, fans still have a chance to catch the duo live at one of these upcoming stops.

Whether you’re a die-hard Tolkien fan or just looking for a fresh kind of nightlife experience, this event promises to transport attendees straight to Middle Earth via the dancefloor.
