Kanye West samples Mica Levi on new album, Donda 2
Donda 2 is exclusively available on the owners of Kanye West’s own Stem Player device.
West, who legally changed his name to Ye last year, debuted the follow-up to Donda at a listening party in Miami on 22 February. Among the features revealed on his new release is a sample from The Collections Vol. 3 cover star Mica Levi. West’s track Security includes a looped section from Levi’s Zola soundtrack, specifically from their track Wanna Trap.

This isn’t the first time Kanye has sampled the London-based musician, composer and producer. On Feedback from The Life of Pablo, the rapper featured part of the soundtrack Levi made for sci-fi thriller Under The Skin.
The two-hour Donda 2 launch party saw performances from Alicia Keys, Pusha T, DaBaby and Migos, who all appear on the album. Donda 2 is currently only available to listen to via the artist’s own Stem Player, which was unveiled last year and costs $200.
