Kendrick Lamar’s next release might be a double album
Kendrick Lamar has shared a new photo to his website oklama.com.
The photo features a book, titled Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, and two master copy discs. Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers is thought to be the title of his next album. As shown below, the TDE rapper’s next release could be a book and a double LP.
Lamar announced Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers last month. It’s due to be released next week, on 13 May. He first revealed that he was working on new music back in August 2021, when he took to his website to announce that his next album would be his final release on Top Dawg Entertainment.
“As I produce my final TDE album, I feel joy to have been a part of such a cultural imprint after 17 years,” Lamar wrote. “The Struggles. The Success. And most importantly, the Brotherhood. May the Most High continue to use Top Dawg as a vessel for candid creators. As I continue to pursue my life’s calling.”
He added: “There’s beauty in completion. And always faith in the unknown.”
Lamar is set to perform tracks from the new album at Milano Summer Festival on 23 June. He’s also due to make his Glastonbury debut next month. In January, Lamar revealed that he’s teaming up with Dave Free and South Park’s Matt Stone and Trey Parker to produce an untitled comedy. Vernon Chatman is writing the script.
