Manchester’s Hidden enters “new direction” with 10th anniversary refurbishment

Manchester nightclub Hidden is entering a “new direction” this month in celebration of its 10th anniversary, undergoing an extensive refurbishment.

The Cheetham Hill club announced in February that it will soon enter ‘Phase 2’ – a new era for Hidden marking 10 years since it first opened in August 2015.

“Phase 2 marks our 10th year of being open as a venue and we have undergone an extensive refurbishment to celebrate,” they announced on Instagram.

According to Resident Advisor, renovations include a capacity increase of 50% – meaning it will now be able to hold 1,300 people – as well as new toilets and a new bar area.

Other renovations include an added exit by the smoking area, a new dancefloor in its main room, an improved lighting rig, and an upgrade to its current Void Soundsystem.

In a statement (via RA), operations manager Martin Moffat explained: “This refurbishment marks a new era for Hidden. We’ve listened to our community and made the changes they wanted — better facilities, a quicker bar service, and an even more immersive club experience.”
