New Hans Zimmer documentary set to be released this month
Hans Zimmer: Hollywood Rebel looks back at the German composer’s prolific 40-year career.
The new documentary about the life and work of Hans Zimmer is set to premiere at 9pm (GMT) on BBC Two on 16 October. It will cover the life of the critically acclaimed composer – who scored The Lion King, Inception, Interstellar, Dune and a host of other films. Zimmer has won multiple awards for his compositions, claiming the Academy Award for Best Music (Original Score) twice, as well being a multi-time Golden Globe and Grammy Award winner.
Speaking about the documentary, Zimmer said: “My hope is that this documentary inspires and emboldens you to unapologetically pursue your passions and find a deeper understanding for my scores and above all, music.”
Hans Zimmer: Hollywood Rebel will also feature interviews with directors and producers including Christopher Nolan, Denis Villeneuve, Steve McQueen and more. Additionally, the 60-minute film will feature Zimmer’s 2022 European tour.
