Portugal’s Out.Fest adds more names for 2022
Three new acts join the bill for the avant-garde music festival’s 18th edition.
Out.Fest has confirmed Amirtha Kidambi’s Elder Ones, the New York project that sees Kidambi on vocals, synthesizer and harmonium joined by a full band of multi-instrumentalists. Other additions to the bill include percussionist Will Guthrie in collaboration with the Nist Nah ensemble and a rare live show from David Toop. Alongside their performances, these artists will also give talks on their work and influences.
These latest names join the line-up as part of the REMAIIN project – Radical European Music and Its Intercultural Nature – which focuses on non-European influences within experimental and avant-garde music. The initiative is also supported by the Creative Europe programme.
Out.Fest comes to various venues across Barreiro, Portugal, from 5-8 October. Other acts confirmed to play include Prison Religion, bar italia, Phew, Ecko Bazz featuring STILL, Nicole Mitchell and Pisitakun. Tickets start from €30 and are available from the Out.Fest website.
