SBTRKT shares trailer for Bodmin Moor, his first new music in six years

The UK artist has teased his first new music since 2016 album Save Yourself.

SBTRKT – real name Aaron Jerome – has shared a short video for upcoming new release Bodmin Moor, taking its name from the historic Cornish moorlands. Posting to social media earlier today (13 June) he wrote, “New SBTRKT is coming!” with a link to the video trailer directed by The Rest. Alongside the visualiser, the musician and producer shared a link to a website called The Vanishing Post which features images and news clippings about the mythology of big cats on the Devon and Cornwall moorlands.

Since the release of Save Yourself, SBTRKT’s only output has been a remix of NAO’s Bad Blood and an unreleased Chance the Rapper rework posted to his Soundcloud. Last year he hinted at new music in a post marking the 10 year anniversary of his self-titled debut album. “I’ve been writing new music for quite a while…”, he wrote, “it’s been too long but good shit takes time and I can’t wait to share it with you.” The release date for Bodmin Moor is yet to be announced; in the meantime, watch the teaser trailer below.
