Szarr’s “Reaching for the Sun” Represents His Musical Liberation And Pursuit Of Passion
Swiss singer-songwriter Szarr has released his latest single titled “Reaching for the Sun,” a powerful composition born out of his personal struggles and frustrations with a job that didn’t align with his aspirations. The musician explains how he channeled his anger and frustration into the track, using captivating sounds and creating the instrumental elements as a means of liberation.
Drawing from his own experiences, Szarr offers advice to others trapped in similar situations, encouraging them to reflect on what truly makes them feel alive and free and to pursue their passions. He emphasizes the importance of observing and listening to oneself, going after goals, and embracing what brings joy and fulfillment.
Szarr collaborated with Omri Klein on the video for “Reaching for the Sun,” working together to bring the song’s story to life visually, as told in the lyrics: “We trade life for paper/ just to live it out later/ into the wild we are running/ into the nature we are free/ I don’t know how we end up here/ do we wait until we disappear?/ Don’t know how we ended up here/ chasing things that will just disappear/ Let’s reclaim our power/ Cuz’ time is a treasure.”
Currently working on his first EP, titled Idioma, Szarr combines influences from his Balkan heritage and Swiss upbringing. He draws inspiration from various artists and producers such as The Weeknd, Rihanna, Stargate, and Calvin Harris. The artist is also excited to explore genres like Latin vibes, reggaeton beats, trap, and electronic music in his upcoming releases.
