Robyn – Dopamine [Konichiwa Records/Young]

“Some things — like desire or falling in love — refuse to be decoded. You can understand the science, but the feeling itself stays wild and mysterious. We want to feel in control, but we’re just flesh and blood on a rock, spinning around in space.”

It’s been seven long years since Robyn released the epic LP, “Honey”. Much has changed in our lives since then, and “Dopamine” is right on time, a song that drips with escapism and the feeling of needing to cut loose from the everyday.

Poolside & Thunder Jackson & MiiRACLES – Otherside

Poolside‘s (Jeffrey Paradise) life was turned upside down during the Palisades fire, where he lost his home, studio, and all of his earthly possessions. Being rootless allowed him the opportunity to travel, so he went to Europe to find his bearings. While in London, he booked some studio time.

“On my first morning there, I ended up in Damon Albarn’s (Blur / Gorillaz) studio with a group of people I’d never met: Dan from London Grammar, Nick from Digital Farm Animals, and Kyle aka Thunder Jackson. We had coffee, talked music, listened to each other’s demos, then decided fuck it, let’s write an entirely new song.”

The result is “Otherside”, a testament to finding purpose through music and rediscovering your life’s purpose on the other side of tragedy.

Suki Soul – Can’t Stop [Fool’s Paradise]

Releasing her first track on Mark Knight’s Fool’s Paradise label is no small feat, but Suki Soul (Sara Larder) makes it look easy! Her non-stop schedule as an in-demand vocalist makes it seem impossible for her to have time to create and release music of this caliber, but Soul continues to wow with each release! “Can’t Stop” is funky and soulful, all of the things you can expect to hear if you catch Suki Soul live!

Rikky Disco – Expectations [Stockholm Disco Sounds]

I do love a good remix, but sometimes, the original is simply the way to go, and this is the case for Rikky Disco‘s latest single, “Expectations”. This Stockholm duo eats, breathes, and sleeps Disco. This song is sweet and light per Fanacy’s vocal delivery, and Chris Tall’s plucky, lilting music fits the vibe perfectly. She says she wants drama, but this track is just fun!

Nikka Costa – Anti Love Song [Go Funk Yourself Inc.]

Nikka Costa is a true disciple of Funk music, and after last year’s “Dirty Disco” release, she was ready to get back to her Funk roots with the release of her cover of Betty Mabry’s “Anti Love Song”. You may know Mabry better as the Funk goddess Betty Davis, but the original track was released before her marriage to Miles Davis. Nikka Costa’s father, Don Costa, produced the original, so it only made sense for Nikka to pay homage to both. Nikka’s cover is gritty and raw, just like Betty would have liked it.

Matteo Matteini – Free To Choose [Spa In Disco]

If you are looking for a late-night jam, Matteo Matteini‘s “Free To Choose” is a super funky choice. The vocals are seductive and draw you into the dark landscape of the track, accompanied by some deeply groovy bass lines and rhythm guitar work. You might just end your night with this one.

Never Dull – Birthday Suit feat. Lion Babe [Lick My Disco]

If you are looking for a song that is very cheeky and definitely sexy, look no further than Never Dull‘s “Birthday Suit”, featuring the fantastic delivery of Lion Babe. This song is an invitation to get down, anyway you want! It’s ready to party with you, so you had better be ready!

A-P Connection – Into The Lights feat. Magoo (Extended Mix) [A-P Connection]

A-P Connection is leaning on their love of 70s Funk, 80s Boogie, and just a little French Touch on “Into The Lights”, a track that sounds completely modern, and uses their influences to inform their sound, not dictate it. Magoo’s vocal is soulful yet poppy, and comes complete with a little rap break. The extended mix lets us hear a little more of the bass and horns that drive the groove.

Anoraak – Everything I Do (Art Of Tones Extended Mix) [Endless Summer/Juliet Records]

Anoraak‘s “Everything I Do” is a great example of terrific base material creating an even better remix! Art Of Tones has added a breath of Summer to the original track, taking the original 80s synth vibes away and infusing it with Nu-Disco freshness!

Da Lukas – Sicily Theme [Groove Culture]

Da Lukas had some fun with “Sicily Theme”, which has a retro cinematic quality to it. The vocals are very kitchy, like something you would hear in a 1960s/1970s adventure film. There is still plenty of Disco in the track, with enough horns and strings to keep you spinning on the dancefloor.

Penny – Shadow Dancing [Because Music / Empty Streets Records]

Nu-Disco/Pop chanteuse Penny heated up November with her NZCALines-produced track “Shadow Dancing”. The music has a delightfully wonky sound to it, which, paired with Penny’s straightforward vocal delivery, keeps the listener slightly off kilter. Together, what could be a throwaway pop song sounds fresh and engaging.

Sébastien Tellier – Thrill of the Night feat. Slayyyter & Nile Rodgers [Because Music]

Sébastien Tellier‘s upcoming 2026 LP, Kiss The Beast, is going to be a star-studded affair. The second teaser track, “Thrill of the Night,” features Nile Rodgers on guitar and Slayyyter on vocals. The track sounds ready for commercial radio, but has classic Cerrone vibes; think Supernature with a modern vocal take. It’s a winner, and another exciting peek into this album!

Satin Jackets & Tailor – Criminal [Golden Hour Recordings]

Satin Jackets and vocalist Tailor have had a successful working relationship for many years, and this is evident on “Criminal”, the first single following SJ’s 2025 LP “Cruise Control“. Tailor’s vocals have an ease about them that betrays the subject matter, a lyric about a lost love who is changing, but the ex-love can do nothing about it. Not exactly happy stuff, but they sure make it sound good!

lovetempo – Wanna Be With You (Turbotito Remix)

The Turbotito (Filip Nikolic) remix of lovetempo‘s (Mattie Safer) “Wanna Be With You” is more than a remix; it’s a story about a musical friendship that began over a decade ago when Safer was in The Rapture. The stems were given to Filip, and the result is West Coast, golden hour magic. The track floats like the ocean breeze.

“I love this remix because Filip kept the emotional center intact, the quiet-storm softness and the tender pull of the duet, but he gave it the full Turbotito treatment: the slow-motion funk, the hypnotic looping synths, the bassline that pushes it a little more toward the dancefloor without breaking the spell.”

Tonbe – Broadway (Spank Mix) [Fruity Flavor]

Tonbe (Miloš Đorđević) has been making Disco music for a long time, so you should never be surprised to hear one of his tracks in a mix somewhere. “Broadway (Spank Mix)” is a great example of his expertise in the genre. The guitars are rhythmic and punchy, mixed with lush strings and a driving, funky bass line. The synths are gentle and fill the space perfectly.
