The Avicii video game, Invector, arrives on Nintendo Switch with free demo
The Avicii video game is now available as a demo on Nintendo Switch.
Announced in October last year, the game, entitled AVICII Invector, sees players heading off on an intergalactic journey, trying to hit notes as they race through various landscapes. It comes with both solo and multiplayer options, and players are given the choice of three difficulty levels. The game also features 25 of the late artist’s tracks including ‘Levels’, ‘Without You’, and ‘Lay Me Down’.
Now, a demo version for AVICII Invector: Encore Edition is available on the handheld Nintendo Switch console, with ‘Pure Grinding’ and Avicii’s own remix of ‘The Nights’ available as levels to play. The new encore edition also features 10 new tracks unavailable on the standard release.
The game will be released on 8th September 2020, and 25% of the profits from the sale of the game will go to the Tim Bergling Foundation, the charity set up in the late EDM star’s honour by his parents with a goal to support those working within mental health and suicide prevention.

In May this year, Belgian festival Tomorrowland named Avicii’s ‘Levels’ the biggest track in Tomorrowland history.
Avicii’s ‘TIM’ won the award for Best Album at this year’s International Dance Music Awards.
