Described as a “love letter to techno music and Berlin nightlife”, the film was reportedly filmed during real-life techno nights in the German capital.
The German-language film is written and directed by Nikias Chryssos and Viktor Jakovleski, and has been acquired by Munich-based sales agency The Playmaker, who will bring the film to Cannes Film Market next month where it’ll be screened.

Rave On‘s producer, Andro Steinborn, told Variety: “Techno music is one of the most important German cultural exports and ‘Rave On’ is raw and real as the music itself, an authentic and rare cinematic rollercoaster to bring that culture to the big screen.”
