Travis Barker, Questlove, Tom Morello and Miley Cyrus pay tribute to Taylor Hawkins
Taylor Hawkins has died at the age of 50.
The Foo Fighters announced the death of the band member on 26 March. A cause of death was not shared. In a statement, the band wrote, “The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live on with all of us forever.”

There’s been an outpouring of memories and tributes since the announcement. Travis Barker shared a post online, remembering when Hawkins toured with Alanis Morrisette. “You gave me so much hope and determination,” Barker wrote. He also touched upon Blink 182’s Australian tour with The Foo Fighters. Barker added, “I have the best memories of smoking cigarettes in the restroom of flights we were on together and watching your set every night.”
Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Questlove, Ozzy Osbourne and more have paid tribute to the late drummer. Miley Cyrus has announced on her Instagram story that she’ll dedicate her Lollapalooza set tonight (26 March) to Hawkins.
