Gorillaz launch clothing line, G Foot
Gorillaz have launched a clothing line, G Foot, to mark the 20th anniversary of the animated band’s self-titled debut album.
The collection is available via the new fashion brand’s website and in Selfridges, while Flannels will begin stocking this week.
The line is inspired by each of the cartoon members’ style: Russel gets a kimono with striking Japanese typography, 2D fans can grab a large hockey jersey, Noodle receives a nod by way of a reversible gold satin coat, while Murdoc gets a Pazuzu bomber jacket. And if none of those appeal there are plenty more options for t-shirts, hoodies and sweatpants, all with the G Foot gorilla palm print logo.
“This is real style in a cartoon world,” said creative director Remi Kabaka. “We’ve put together casual classics, clothes that speak to you and about you. Clothing is an unspoken language that binds us all together. We can’t wait until you get your hands on this collection.”
In addition to the clothing line, Gorillaz have also confirmed they will be reissuing their entire musical back catalogue with bonus material. This follows the release of their 2020 LP, ‘Song Machine – Season One: Strange Timez‘, and a new range of toy figurines.
