Björk’s new album “should probably come out in the summer”
Björk has revealed that her new album “should probably come out in the summer”.
Speaking to LA Weekly, the Icelandic artist and actor said that she is currently in the process of finishing her forthcoming tenth studio album. In October last year, she said that the album was created for “people making clubs in their living room“.
“I’m finishing [the new album] now, and it should probably come out in the summer,” said the 56-year-old about the follow-up to 2017’s ‘Utopia’. “It’s always really hard for me to describe the album while I’m still making it. It isn’t until a few months later that I can look in the mirror and pretend there was a logic to it the whole time.”
On 26th January, Björk kickstarts a five-date tour of her ‘Cornucopia’ performance, stopping off at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium and the Chase Center in San Francisco.
Last month, she appeared in the trailer for Robert Eggers’ forthcoming Viking revenge film, ‘The Northman,’ while in October of last year she finished a string of orchestral live stream concerts at Reykjavik’s Harpa Concert Hall alongside the Hamrahlíð Choir, Icelandic Symphony Orchestra, and Viibra flute septet, in aid of a women’s shelter.
