Sónar Lisboa locks Charlotte de Witte, Floating Points, Kampire, more for debut festival

Sónar Lisboa has announced the first names for next year’s debut event.

Taking place from the 8th to the 9th April 2022, the inaugural Portugese edition of Sónar will take place in a number of venues across Lisbon, with Belgian techno star Charlotte de Witte, Floating Points and core member of Kampala’s Nyege Nyege collective, Kampire, among the first names announced for the event.

Brainfeeder’s Grammy-nominated Thundercat is also set to join the 2022 line-up, alongside fellow Grammy nominee Jayda G, Ellen Allien, Héctor Oaks, and FJAAK and DJ Stingray 313, who are both set to perform live.

Festival tickets for the complete programme across the full three days, are now on sale for €110, and can be purchased via the official website sonarlisboa.pt.

Elsewhere, Sónar will return to Barcelona for the first time since July 2019 this weekend, with two new in-person events featuring a host of live performances, DJ sets, talks and workshops.
