Brooklyn’s Paragon nightclub will close in April
Beloved Brooklyn venue Paragon has announced that it will close its doors in April.
In a statement posted on instagram yesterday (January 22), the team behind the 500sqft venue announced “with deep sadness” that Paragon in its current form would be closing for good this spring.
“After almost three years of running a venue with some of the world’s best people we simply cannot afford the financial reality of this industry in 2025 and will be closing our doors this April,” the statement reads.

The team went on to thank their community “for the memories and friendships,” as well as the artists who have played at the venue for “gracing us with their magic.”
“Most of all we want to thank our coworkers who often went far beyond their job descriptions to make dreams come true,” they add.
The two room, multi-storey venue first opened in early 2022, as the brainchild of Bossa Nova Civic Club founder John Barclay —relaunching briefly as invite-only concept Venus in Furs later that year, it hosted parties from a number of well-loved local promoters, including Dweller festival.
Since then, the venue has become a hub for Brooklyn underground nightlife, having hosted the likes of Nick León, RP Boo, Nikki Nair, Kevin Saunderson, Josey Rebelle, Rosa Pistola, Goldie and many more.

Several electronic artists have taken to social media to share their sadness over the venue’s upcoming closure, including Cakes Da Killa who wrote on Twitter: “RIP Paragon! They can’t keep a bad bitch down tho cause you def been like 3 other bad bitches before you was Paragon.”
While River Moon wrote: “Paragon is the club I’ve played most in Nyc since starting my D career three years ago. I been there since the jump so it’s kinda like a home to me. I’m so sad rn. Brooklyn is going to be a lot less sexier now.”
In their statement, the Paragon team said that while its current iteration would be concluding in April, the Broadway-based space Is now up for sale. “If anyone is interested in purchasing (or investing) feel free to reach out,” they write.
In response, DJ and producer Jubilee wrote: “One of you rich djs should invest in paragon and keep it open it would be something meaningful think about it.”
