EDX Delivers Emotional Deep House Single, ‘Desire’
As part of a landmark celebration for his Sirup Music label, EDX has unveiled a brand-new single titled “Desire,” marking another milestone in the prolific DJ and producer’s three-decade career. This track not only commemorates the 25th anniversary of his Zurich-based imprint but also reinforces his legacy as a global architect of melodic house music.
Following the recent success of “Cobalt,” EDX returns with a different tone on “Desire,” channeling a more reflective, emotionally resonant sound. The track reunites EDX with Australian singer-songwriter Jess Ball, known for her work on their previous collaboration “I Found You (Neptune),” which achieved over 20 million streams on Spotify and topped the Future House charts on Beatport. “Desire” builds on this success, layering Ball’s expressive vocal delivery over EDX’s polished, percussive soundscapes.
EDX describes the inspiration behind the track, stating, “When I was working on ‘Desire,’ I wanted to channel the kind of feeling that lingers long after a great night out — the kind of moment that is as emotional as it is uplifting. This track really captures what Sirup Music is about: melody, connection, and that timeless feeling that brings us all together on the dancefloor. It is a special release to share during such an important year for the label.”
The new single was released shortly after EDX’s standout performances during Miami Music Week, where he headlined multiple events, including the 10th annual No Xcuses showcase and sets at E11EVEN and Palm Tree Club. These appearances helped reaffirm his position as a powerhouse in the house music scene, especially as Sirup Music marks a quarter-century of influence.
Looking ahead, EDX is slated for an international run of summer performances across North America, Europe, and Asia, with anticipated stops in cities such as Toronto and Denver. As the year continues, “Desire” acts as a preview of the artist’s creative momentum and the direction Sirup Music is headed as it maintains its place at the forefront of global dance music culture.
