Justine Skye Drops Sultry House Single “YAP”

Justine Skye is back with another dance-driven release, sharing her new single “YAP” via Warner Records. Produced by Channel Tres and Baby Tate, the track continues her pivot toward house and electronic-leaning sounds, showing the same energy that’s fueled her recent run of festival-ready singles.

A Confident Step Into the Dance Era

“YAP” wastes no time locking into a four-on-the-floor groove, pairing low-end pressure with sharp synth accents. Justine’s vocal delivery rides the production with a playful yet commanding presence, teasing lines like, “Am I talking too much? Do I get on your nerves?” before flipping into a hook that feels made for late-night dancefloors. The result is equal parts attitude and release, further cementing her presence in the house and R&B crossover lane.

The music video, co-directed by Skye and Ari Marina-Dannon (Lyrical Lemonade), places her in the heart of Brooklyn. What starts in the aisles of a neighborhood bodega quickly breaks into full choreography outside the storefront, where Skye and a crew of dancers turn the sidewalk into a stage. Shot in a single take, the video captures the same raw confidence and allure that the track itself exudes.

Building Momentum Across Dance and R&B

“YAP” follows a string of recent singles that showcase Skye’s shift toward club-oriented sounds. This summer, she dropped “Bitch in Ibiza,” produced by Kito and Noah Beresin, which paid homage to the island that has long been a touchstone for global dance culture. Before that, she launched her Warner Records debut “Oh Lala,” produced by KAYTRANADA, which Billboard spotlighted as a “sultry, groove-heavy anthem.” Both tracks marked a clear evolution in her sound, leading directly into the darker, sharper edges of “YAP.”

Outside of the studio, Skye continues to expand her presence across music and culture. She recently appeared as a keynote speaker at the Active Minds Mental Health Conference in Washington, D.C., where she spoke on the importance of shifting conversations around mental health among young adults. Balancing performance, advocacy, and her growing catalog, she’s creating an era that’s equal parts personal expression and communal energy.

With “YAP,” Justine Skye signals that her dance chapter is only gaining momentum. Confident, physical, and unapologetically bold, the track positions her as one of the artists to watch as the intersection of house and R&B continues to thrive.
