Afrojack Brings the High-Octane CONTROL Tour to Denver
Living in Denver, we get completely spoiled with shows every single week, but an indoor dance party in mid-October just hits differently. When you want low end that rattles your ribcage and sightlines where you actually see the artist, Mission Ballroom is tough to beat. The venue has quickly turned into our local holy grail for dance music, blending warehouse grit with spotless acoustics. On Friday, October 16, that state-of-the-art sound system gets put through the wringer. Afrojack is bringing his North American CONTROL tour straight into the heart of RiNo. If you listened to his latest cut ‘To The Front,’ you already know he is ditching the tired mainstage singalongs for something way more aggressive. He is rolling into the Mile High City ready to rattle the room with pure, sweaty club energy.
Awesome Lineup Start to Finish
The support roster on this run has zero throwaway names. They locked in Canadian electroclash legend Tiga, which guarantees some wild, gritty underground flavor before the headliner steps up. Seeing a pioneer of his caliber on an indoor Denver stage is an absolute treat for anyone who appreciates electronic roots. GLZ and RC3 handle the opening slots, setting the mood right as doors slide open at 7:00 PM. Music kicks off promptly at 8:00 PM, so getting through the scanners early is the play if you want the full experience.
Why Mission Ballroom?
Afrojack can easily fill an open field, but shoving this new concept into a dark room makes total sense. Mission’s stepped layout means you never end up stuck behind someone’s phone screen, whether you want to sweat it out in the middle of the floor or chill up on the risers. Under the oversized disco ball, that low ceiling traps the pressure and makes everything feel ten times louder. It fits the dark, industrial warehouse vibe of the CONTROL concept like a glove.
Game Plan for Friday Night
The night is open to everyone 16 and over. Do yourself a favor and do not stress over parking along Wynkoop on a Friday. The A-line to 38th and Blake drops you off practically at the entrance. Grab your tickets through the venue’s official AXS page before the remaining tiers bump up. Stretch, drink some water, and come ready to sweat!
