Armin van Buuren unveils remake of Moby’s ‘Extreme Ways’: Listen
“It’s been an absolute honor to create a version of this iconic track,” says Armin van Buuren.
Debuting all the way back in March at Ultra as Armin van Buuren opened his set with it, his collaboration with Moby is finally out now. Putting his own unique spin on the iconic anthem of Moby’s, ‘Extreme Ways‘ takes fans back to the past whilst keeping in line with the fresh sound that van Buuren has pioneered. When two legends like Armin van Buuren and Moby come together, the result is electrifying.
Inspired by rewatching the Bourne film series (where the track is used at the conclusion), Armin van Buuren’s motive behind making this new version was to bring the iconic track to a new generation of electronic music fans. With the original ‘Extreme Ways’ being released back in 2002, there’s no better time to revisit it.
In true Armin van Buuren style, he has kept the all-important essence of the original which has made it so beloved, and sprinkled in his dancefloor-ready charm. Hooking listeners in with entrancing electro and an earth-shattering drop, it will succeed in sucking new listeners in, who will go on to dive deeper into Moby’s catalogue of hits.
“It’s been an absolute honor to create a version of this iconic track, which has set the tone as the intro to many of my sets this year,” says Armin.
