Belfast’s AVA Festival reveals 2022 line-up
AVA Festival has announced the line-up for its upcoming edition, set to take place at iconic open-air venue Titanic Slipways, in Belfast, on 3-4 June.
Mura Masa, LSDXOXO and Jon Hopkins have been added to the bill. They’ll join previously announced headliners Bicep at the event this summer.
“Having played the first AVA festival in 2015 and many times since, it’s a real homecoming gig for us,” state Bicep. “We can’t wait to be back in 2022 to play our biggest Northern Irish live show to date on home turf. This feels like a really special moment for us and we’re very excited to be playing alongside lots of friends and family”.
Dozens more acts have also been confirmed, including Floorplan, Biig Piig, Sherelle, Calibre, Special Request, Gemma Dunleavy, Bklava, TSHA and Carlton Doom. For 2022, Belfast has locked in a number of live shows presented by artists such as Ross From Friends, Overmono, Soichi Terada, Giant Swan and Prospa. VTSS and I Hate Models have also been announced.
This year’s event will take place at the Titanic Slipways, situated on the mouth of the River Lagan. For the first time, the festival will be offering a camping option for those seeking accommodation. Options will range from standard camping through to bell tents, with the camp site just minutes from the festival itself.
