
Issue two of Manchester magazine SEEN is out now
A second issue of Manchester magazine SEEN is out now.
This edition includes a project linking Mancunian and Palestinian artists, an exploration on the ethics of sampling, an interview with AFRODEUTSCHE, an op-ed on protest and solidarity in South Asia, a feature on how social media defines beauty standards in music, and more.

Writer contributions come from Iyunoluwanimi Yemi-Shodimu, Amelia Fearon, Dhruva Balram, Jessica Rogers, Jad Ghazali, Dr Zakiya Mckenzie, Sashwati Mira Sengupta and Stephanie Ewurama (aka SCAPA), while photography comes from Alina Akbar.
SEEN was founded by Tunde Adekoya, Kamila Rymajdo and Balraj Samrai (pictured) in 2022, launched to “counter the London-centric narrative within music media”.

At the time, Adekoya said: “Print magazines are like archives of experiences; what was, what is and what could be. I suppose we felt that there was a lack of these experiences being documented by the global majority of real people who make Britain what it is – a cultural melting pot.”
