Lady Of The House announce exhibition celebrating women in dance music

Commencing on International Women’s Day, the Lady of The House cultural exhibition will take place at Lost Horizon in Bristol, with live-streaming also made available. The programme will kick off with an Under 18’s day on the 8th March.
As well as hosting music, the event will feature an art exhibition and a reading from the authors of last year’s Lady Of The House book, while workshops will be held on DJing, vocals and music production among others.
There will also be panels discussing artist management, the history of women in dance and how to overcome barriers. The first wave of speakers were announced via Instagram and includes Jaguar, Anja Schneider, HE.SHE.THEY, Cici, Ceri and Arielle Free. You can see the full line-up announced so far below.
Lady Of The House also have a UK club tour lined up for 2022 with Bournemouth dates confirmed so far, while dates for Sheffield, Manchester, London, Southampton and Leeds can be expected later in the year.
In collaboration with V&A Dundee and designer Jenny Elliott, the organisation have also created a Women In Club Culture music map. The limited-edition art piece will be exclusively on sale at the exhibition.
The organisation released their coffee-table book last year which documents the stories of influential female artists and features over 120 interviews with women in the scene including DJ Paulette, DJ Maxxine and Nicky Trax. It’s available to buy here.
