Ministry of Sound announces series of reopening parties this summer

Ministry of Sound has announced a series of reopening parties taking place this summer.

Legendary London institute Ministry of Sound (MoS) has shared the news that it will open its doors on Friday the 25th June 2021 for the first in a six-week series of opening parties.

According to the club’s website, line-ups for the events are being finalised, but the opening party will take place on Friday 25th from 10PM until 6AM, with another eight-hour party taking place on Saturday 26th.

“We’ve come a long, long way together, and we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel,” MoS said on the listing page. “Dust off your raving shoes, call your friends, cancel your Zoom subscription and let’s never speak of quizzes, banana bread or Joe Wicks ever again. It’s Summer 2021 and it’s time for a FUCKING PARTY.”

Tickets for the opening party on Friday 25th June are on sale here for £26.

Elsewhere in London, fabric has announced a 42-hour reopening party in June later this year, with Tottenham’s The Cause announcing a two-day program of events, and South London mega-venue Printworks hosting a mammoth three-day run of reopening celebrations.

MoS came in at No. 26 in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs Poll last year. Undoubtedly one of the most iconic clubbing brands in the history of dance music, Ministry of Sound’s London club is the stuff of legend. Having opened its doors in 1991 to showcase the American house sound, its early days saw the likes of Larry Levan and Frankie Knuckles regularly grace the booth. Across the decades, the Elephant and Castle-based institution has grown considerably, with countless side projects and offshoots but the London club — with its focus on exceptional sound — is still the epicentre of the global brand.
