Serato add Beatport and Beatsource LINK in new beta

Serato has added Beatport LINK and Beatsource LINK streaming to their DJ software in a new beta, Serato DJ Pro 2.4. The LINK platform allows subscribers to stream Beatport’s six-million strong catalogue directly into the DJ performance software, with several subscription tiers offering various perks and features. Beatsource is Beatport’s open-format platform, where the catalogue strays off from electronic music and covers pop, RnB and more. TiDAL and SoundCloud are available in Serato. 

The offline locker that gives users access to up to 100 ‘offline’ tracks from either platform if the WiFi connection is lost isn’t currently available for Beatport or Beatsource but is expected to be added in a future update. 

Serato also added a super useful feature for those who’ve taken up live streaming recently, with a new option to “make audio available to other applications”, only in Serato Pro. There’s also new MIDI functionality that lets you map multiple functions to a single CC and you can also use the laptop speakers as the master audio out.
