Shall Not Fade is opening a new record store in Bristol

Shall Not Fade is opening a new record store in Bristol.

The label set up by Kieran Williams will open doors to the shop on Saturday 4th December, with in store launch events on the day and following weekend (10th December) confirmed. The latter date will also see a huge after party at Motion, featuring the likes of Cinthie, Djoko, Black Loops, Kessler, Ejeca, Ell Murphy, Y U QT and Killa P.

Located on St Nicholas Street in Bristol’s Old Town area, customers can expect the shelves to stock the label’s latest releases, alongside those on the team’s bass-oriented platform, Time Is Now. Plans for the site go well beyond selling tunes and vinyl, though. A pop-up plant shop, Plant Works, will also be located in the building, while the team will run DJ lessons and three month label management courses, with 50% of places going to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds at no cost.

Once up and running, in-store soirees will form another key part of plans for the shop, including artists plucked from the Shall Not Fade roster, which has established itself as a home for jazz-infused, dusty house talent. For example, Jaymie Silk, who got the release schedule off to a sophisticated start this year with his ‘The Legend of Jack Johnson‘ EP.
