The Neptunes and Jay-Z collab on new Pharrell Williams track, ‘Entrepreneur’: Listen
Pharrell has collaborated with Jay-Z on a new track.
The new track, ‘Entrepeneur’, is the latest collaboration from Pharrell and Jay-Z, who have worked together on records over the last two decades. The track has been produced by The Neptunes, the production duo comprised of Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams, and has also been shared alongside a new music video celebrating Black entrepeneurs.
The Neptunes [pictured] originally came together in 1994, accumulating production credits on dozens of Billboard Hot 100 hits between the late ‘90s and early 00’s, including work with artists such as Jay-Z, Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Kelis and Snoop Dogg. The duo released a solo album ‘Clones’ in 2003.
Earlier this year, Hugo shared in an interview with Clash that he was “focussing on The Neptunes stuff”, and that they had done some work alongside “Blink-182, Lil Uzi Vert, Brandy, Ray-J, Snoh Alegra, G-Eazy”.

In July JAY-Z’s legal arm, Team ROC, and Memphis rapper Yo Gotti, filed legal action on behalf of 227 inmates living in “dire” conditions at Parchman Prison in Mississippi. The lawsuit, which addresses conditions for prisoners at the prison, has been brought against Mississippi Department of Corrections Commissioner Nathan Burl Cain, and prison healthcare provider Centurion.
