Black Agent announces new album “Industrial Ruination”
Industrial trio Black Agent has announced that their debut album “Industrial Ruination” will be released on April 15th, 2022 via Re:Mission Entertainment. The highly social and political album contains lyrical commentary on today’s issues all under the guise of 80s industrial music. The thirteen-track album is available in both digital and limited edition CD formats. You can stream / purchase the album directly below.
Black Agent was formed in the Pacific Northwest in 2016 by Lawrence Kleinke (Computer Controlled: Urban Kickz Recordings, Subsonic, Acid Jack Recordings). Originally began as a dark techno solo project for the producer, Kleinke wanted to evolve into a darker, more brooding project to go along with the times. Multi-instrumentalist Neil Parker (MiDi, optimus Prime, Space Kitty Studio, KBRR) and vocalist J Pit (polygraaf discoteq:RBR, Black Laser Kult:RBR, Lateral Tension:Doppler Effect Records, Bloop:Trax Records) joined Kleinke later to complete this transition in 2019. Echoing the ominous sounds of 80s industrial, they recorded their debut album “Industrial Ruination” at the height of Covid-19 and during the protests following George Floyd’s murder. Skinny Puppy, EBM a la Wax Trax and PIAS, and lyrics taken from today’s headlines all make up what Black Agent is all about.
