The 15 Best Techno Tracks of August 2025
Highlights from the best genre in electronic music this month include two spectacular EPs which I wasn’t shy about including in the chart. Regent’s Cratea E.P. and Scheermann’s Viciosa E.P. which you can find on the consistent Mutual Rytm imprint. Combined, the two releases cover first six tracks in the chart. Feel free to explore the rest through vinyl, streaming, or download.

1. “REFICTION” – REGENT [MALÖR RECORDS]
Trippy, reverberated vocal samples and chunky rhythms highlight Regent’s opener on his new E.P. via MALöR Records.
2. “REIKA” – SCHEERMANN [MUTUAL RYTM]
Scheerman’s “Reika” is minimally invasive, yet ominous as fuck!
3. “CRATEA” – REGENT [MALÖR RECORDS]
Regent’s title-track is an escape to another techno universe where the absent of thought is necessary for the full experience.
4. “KANO” – SCHEERMANN [MUTUAL RYTM]
“Kano” gets pensive with pulsating elements that give it that tiny bit of emotion it so desperately needs.
5. “ORIGINS” – REGENT [MALÖR RECORDS]
Regent’s “Origins” is a slow-burning, banger that might just open up another dimension.
6. “NULL MODEL” – REGENT [MALÖR RECORDS]
Taken from his Cratea E.P., “Null Model” is the final, fantastic appearance for Regent in this month’s techno chart
7. “FRANK LOTION” – CONNOR WALL [AUTONOME RECORDS]
Australian producer, Connor Wall makes his debut on the techno chart with this swift and sufficient creation that that bridges the gap between melodic and maniacal.
8. “MIAMI VICE” – TIMMO [DRUMCODE]
Classic trance vibes on Timmo‘s contribution to the latest Drumcode compilation.
9. “DOUBLE D” – TOXIMAMI [NERVOUS RECORDS]
Berlin-based, Toximami has a ton of nasty fun with her double-entendre debut on Nervous Records which she calls “Double D.”
10. “IT’S TIME TO GET HIGH” – GOOM GUM, RDNK [DRUMCODE]
“It’s Time To Get High” is a big-room collaboration between Russian duo, Goom Gum and an unknown entity we can only call RDNK at this point on time.
11. “ACIDIC INSIGHTS” – CAROLINE LETHÔ [BEAT PALACE RECORDS]
Portugal’s Caroline Lethô is responsible for this psychedelic adventure that’s both cerebral and percussive. Call it modern, Goa-trance if you’d like.
12. “BRONCHO’S SANDMAN” – KAUFMANN [DRUMCODE]
“Broncho’s Sandman” by Kaufmann is an ear-worm that’s been a firm favorite among Drumcode elite as of late.
13. “STOP, GO” – MARK REEVE [DRUMCODE]
After a four-year absence, Frankfurt’s Mark Reeve is back on Drumcode with this very catchy, yet modern version of techno that’s been going off quite well lately.
14. “FEED THE FREQUENCY (PUSH THE TEMPO)” – AK SPORTS [CLUB MADHOUSE]
Released individually a few months ago, the fast and frenetic, “Feed The Frequency” is back on display via AK SPORTS’ TIMELINE SHIFT EP this month.
15. “OPEN THE GATE” – PETER PAHN [ENGMT]
A masterful blend of driving techno, trance-tinged atmospheres, and progressive textures, “Open The Gate” captures both the euphoria of peak-time dance floors and the raw spirit of the underground.
