Charli XCX dedicates new album, Crash, to SOPHIE

Charli XCX’s new album, Crash, lands tomorrow (18 March).

Th former Crack Magazine cover star shared a post on Twitter yesterday, honouring her late friend and frequent collaborator SOPHIE. In the liner notes for Crash she wrote, “This album is dedicated to Sophie”.

The popstar – real name Charlotte Aitchison – worked closely with SOPHIE on several releases, including her 2016 Vroom Vroom EP and singles Girls Night Out and No Angel. After SOPHIE passed away on 30 January 2021, Aitchison shared a tribute to SOPHIE.

Earlier this week, Charli XCX released the ballad Every Rule, the latest track from Crash. So far, she’s also shared the singles Beg For You, Baby, Good Ones and New Shapes.
