FKA twigs announces new mixtape CAPRISONGS
It lands on 14 January.
FKA twigs has announced her next full-length project. Entitled CAPRISONGS, the 17-track mixtape is the long-awaited follow-up to twigs’ 2019 album MAGDALENE.
The former Crack Magazine cover star unveiled the new project, its tracklist and its imminent release date on Instagram this evening (6 January). Tears in the Club – twigs’ recent link-up with The Weeknd – features on the mixtape alongside solo tracks and collaborations with Pa Salieu, Rema, Jorja Smith and Unknown T, Shygirl, Daniel Caesar, and Dystopia.
In her Instagram announcement, twigs described the new record as a “journey back to myself through my amazing collaborators and friends.”
Continuing, she added: “CAPRISONGS… it’s bronzer in the sink, alco pop on the side, a cherry lolly, apple juice when ur thirsty, friends in the park, your favourite person, that one sentence somebody said to you that changed everything, a club pre-game, your bestie who is always late but brings the most to the party, meeting a friend at the airport, just togetherness…”

Back in November, FKA twigs and Central Cee collaborated on a new single called Measure of a Man, taken from the soundtrack for the Matthew Vaughn-directed film The King’s Man. The track marked twigs’ first new music since she released the single Don’t Judge Me in January 2021.
