Sónar announces line-up for S+T+ARTS Festival and SónarCCCB 2021

Sónar has unveiled the programme for its upcoming events.

This year, the team behind Sónar are launching the new AI and music festival S+T+ARTS. Taking place from 27-30 October 2021, the full line-up has now landed and it includes the likes of Holly Herndon, Nabihah Iqbal and Libby Heaney, Hamill Industries & Kiani del Valle, AWWZ and more. Composer Marco Mezquida will present the piece Piano + AI.

Altogether, there’ll be 21 sets that will integrate AI into the show. There’ll also be experts, scientists and professionals discussing technology and human interactions. The festival has been organised in collaboration with Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and betevé. The event will take place at UPC, CCCB and L’Auditori. Furthermore, there’ll be a special edition of Sónar at Barcelona’s CCCB. Across two days, from 29-30 October, attendees can catch sets from Koreless, Tirzah, Space Afrika, Leon Vynehall and more. object blue will also perform a live audiovisual show.
