The Warehouse Project announces New Year’s Day party, The Riot
Jayda G, Sherelle, Leon Vynehall and more will head to Depot Mayfield on 1 January.
The Warehouse Project (WHP) has unveiled its end-of-season parties. On Saturday 1 January, aka New Year’s Day, the much-loved club series will join forces with Homoelectric, Electric Chair and Repercussion to present a new show entitled The Riot.
Taking place at WHP’s Depot Mayfield home, the day-to-night party will welcome DJs such as Sherelle, Jayda G, Gilles Peterson, Shanti Celeste, Moxie, Leon Vynehall, The Blessed Madonna, DJ Seinfield and more. Numerous back-to-back sets have also been locked in, with the likes of Hunee and Palms Trax, and Erol Alkan and Ivan Smagghe taking to the decks together. Elsewhere, Louie Vega will play a three-hour set at Concourse within Depot Mayfield.
Manchester’s Star & Garter pub will also welcome both artists and revellers as part of The Riot, with Repercussion inviting Horse Meat Disco and DJ Paulette, among others, to play across the pub’s two floors on New Year’s Day. Repercussion residents Krysko and Greg Lord are also locked in.
Escape to Freight Island – a food market and entertainment hub housed within Depot Mayfield – will provide food and drink throughout the event.
Furthermore, WHP has announced a further two parties set to take place on 18 December and New Year’s Eve 2021. On 18 December, Michael Bibi will perform, with Fatboy Slim, Annie Mac, Emerald and more confirmed for New Year’s Eve at Depot Mayfield.
