Atlanta Season 3 premiere date announced
Donald Glover’s award-winning TV series returns in March.
Atlanta’s long-awaited third season finally has a premiere date. The Donald Glover-created comedy series will return on 24 March with a two-episode premiere that’s set to air on FX. Both episodes will stream the following day on Hulu. This marks the first time the series will be available for in-season streaming.
The second season of Atlanta came to an end in May 2018. The show was renewed for a third season in June 2018, however production was postponed due to scheduling and pandemic-related delays. Filming for the third and fourth seasons of the show commenced in April 2021. The show’s third season – which is comprised of 10 episodes – will be set, and was filmed, primarily in Europe.
Back in October, Glover unveiled the first trailer for the forthcoming season. He returned to Twitter for the first time in almost a year to drop a link to a site called Gilga, which housed a trailer for season three. The teaser clip featured cryptic shots and b-roll footage of various European cites and lead character Paper Boi – played by Brian Tyree Henry – soundtracked by Sun Ra’s It’s After The End of the World.
