SHAPE Platform is taking over crackaud.io this week
We’re teaming up with SHAPE Platform to premiere new audio and visual works from 16 European artists over the next two weeks.
On 16 and 23 March Crack Magazine will host a SHAPE Platform takeover on crackaud.io. This collaboration will consist of a series of performances, mixes, video and audio works created specifically for the two-part online event.
The audio works launch this Wednesday (16 March). Listeners can expect to enjoy mixes from TTristana, Heith and Nazar as well as new compositions by Linda Leimane and Ábris Gryllus. The following week, on 23 March, we’re launching video works from the likes of KMRU – who will present a new audiovisual piece – alongside live recordings from Mathilde Fernandez and Shapednoise.
Alongside the takeover announcement, SHAPE is highlighting ways to support Ukraine. “The festivals and organisations of the SHAPE Platform would also like to use this opportunity to invite the audience to show their support to Ukraine and its people who are now suffering because of Russia’s invasion by supporting their favourite Ukrainian artists or making a donation,” the platform said.
The platform would like to draw attention to the National Bank of Ukraine – who are raising funds for humanitarian assistance – and Help Ukraine Center, where humanitarian aid and donations are accepted, and transported directly into Ukraine from a warehouse in Poland.
SHAPE Platform is formed of 16 creative institutions across Europe. Each year the platform selects 48 emerging European artists and musicians with a focus on innovation and experimentation. See the full line-up of artists involved with the takeover below.
